About
Hackbatch is about the exhibition of process and following technical paths less traveled.
I write and create things for Hackbatch to accomplish two goals:
- Show my process and document how I got from one place to another.
- Allow others to utilize the benefits of my hard work.
I have always been a maker, but never a methodical, neat or, cautious maker. While there is undoubtedly a benefit to those things, and perhaps I can learn to do them better, I have to admit: I love hacking.
I have always loved making things work, and making them work the way I wanted them to, or at least somewhat close! I believe there is middle ground, somewhere I can be recklessly creative yet communicate with enough clarity to show my process and make some awesome things.
That requires pulling the pieces together. Those pieces range from ideas and experiences I have had to little experiments I do on a whim, as well as full projects I see through to the end. Hackbatch is a home to my projects. The whole thing is a story. I don’t want to spoil the ending but I do have a result in mind.
Hopefully, I can turn this personal project into one I can share with more people.
Thanks,
Derrick Robles
